Pep Guardiola has reportedly turned his attention to Manchester City's goalkeeping position where Ederson has failed to replicate his form from the previous seasons. According to Footmercato, the Cityzens have identified Portugal and FC Porto custodian Diogo Costa as their primary target and have initiated preliminary talks to sign him.

Palmeiras break off talks to sign Barca flop Roque

Roque, who was very close to ending his nightmare journey in Spain and returning to his homeland to sign for Brazilian giants Palmeiras, will have to stay back in La Liga for at least until the end of the 2024/25 campaign, as according to Brazilian journalist Andre Hernan, Palmeiras have ended transfer talks with Barcelona.

According to Jijantes, La Liga will not authorise the transfer as the Catalan giants will have to first end his loan spell and re-register the Brazilian before they can sell him to Palmeiras.
