Football fans on social media were celebrating with joy after seeing viral star Tara Mae Kirk get off the mark this season for Peterborough United.
The stunning brunette routinely goes viral on social media when she finds the back of the net, as she did in the Posh's FA Women's National League Division One season opener against Worcester City. Kirk scored a brace in Peterborough's 4-1 win over Worcester.
And it took the Posh striker just four minutes to open her account for the season, with Kirk firing home from the edge of the box past Worcester's keeper to give her side the lead. Then just five minutes later, she bagged her second, much to the delight of football fans on social media with some even comparing her to Hollywood megastar Megan Fox.
One fan said: "For one second I thought it was Megan Fox," replying to Kirk's reaction of her goal on social media. A second commented: "New season, New Gif, same Kirky, Ballon D’or on HER."
A third said: "Build a statue of her already, what a legend." A fourth commented: "The football season is really and truly back." A fifth wrote: "The only tweet from the posh women that hit 1.3m views when Kirk scored a goal."
Tara Kirk has drawn comparisons to Megan Fox
Going viral for Kirk is something that happens every time she scores for the Posh, something she has done plenty of over the course of the last two seasons.
Back during the 2022/23 season, Kirk scored 19 goals in 31 games. And then last term, she scored 19 goals again, this time in 29 games.
Speaking about her own game in the past, Kirk described herself as a nippy, unpredictable forward. She said: "I'm quick off the mark, quite sneaky inside the box and unpredictable, but my main aim when I'm on the pitch is to find the back of the net."
