And in another post, she revealed to a fan that she was going under the knife this year.
A fan commented on a clip of Kayla in a bikini asking about her health.
They wrote: "Always stunning. How's your knee?"
She replied: "Getting surgery in October!"
Kayla previously starred for the Marshall University volleyball team.
She has since relocated to Los Angeles and launched a social media career, amassing over a million Instagram followers.
While she's gone on to become an influencer, Kayla still likes to play when she finds the time.
But her passion led to what appears to have been an injury serious enough to require surgery in March.
In a video shared to her Instagram account, Kayla played alongside a number of other women.
During the clip, Kayla went to play a shot up at net.
After hitting the ball her knee seemed to buckle upon landing.
She fell in a heap and was quickly surrounded by concerned pals.
Kayla captioned her vid: "Well there goes my knee."
In her next snap she could be seen stretching her leg out while appearing to hold an ice-cold beer on her knee.
