City hurdle to find Rodri's replacement

Manchester City's hierarchy is set to meet with manager Pep Guardiola during the upcoming international break in October to review their squad's needs and discuss potential January reinforcements in midfield after Rodri got injured, according to HITC.

While City already have capable midfielders such as Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes, the club has frequently deployed defenders in advanced roles, with players like Manuel Akanji, John Stones, and Rico Lewis all adept at pushing forward into midfield when needed.
