versión hizo creer a los médicos que falleció por causas naturales.
El futbolista
turco del Bursa Yildirim Spor, Cevher Toktas, ha confesado haber asesinado
a su hijo de cinco años una vez que éste murió el pasado 23 de abril en el
hospital de la ciudad.
Ese mismo día, el
pequeño ingresó en el hospital de la ciudad con fiebres altas y varios síntomas
que todo hacían indicar que podría estar contagiado de coronavirus. Horas más
tarde, el propio futbolista avisó a los servicios médicos que su hijo
estaba sufriendo problemas respiratorios y tuvo que ser ingresado de
inmediato en la unidad de cuidados intensivos donde nada pudieron hacer por su
vida.
Días más tarde,
el futbolista se entregó a la policía y dio la verdadera versión de los hechos,
en los que confesó haber asfixiado a su propio hijo con una almohada por
el simple hecho de que nunca había querido a su hijo, "puse una almohada
en la cabeza de mi hijo, que estaba acostado bocarriba, y apreté durante quince
minutos sin parar. Mi hijo resistió un tiempo. Cuando dejó de moverse, quité la
almohada, y luego llamé a los médicos para que no sospechasen nada",
confesó a la policía.
"Nunca le
quise, desde su nacimiento. No sé por qué no lo quería. La única razón de
haberlo matado fue esa, que no le quise. No tengo ningún problema mental",
aseguró. Cevher Toktas quedó inmediatamente detenido y será juzgado por
homicidio y se enfrenta a una posible cadena perpetua.
