que lo han contraído varios futbolistas del Minsk, de la división de honor, y
del Arsenal, de la división de plata. Los partidos, aplazados sine die.
La Federación
Bielorrusa de Fútbol (FBF) aplazó dos partidos de la primera y segunda división
por la sospecha de que varios jugadores contrajeron el coronavirus.
Se trata de
futbolistas del Minsk, que milita en la división de honor, y del Arsenal, que
lo hace en la división de plata del fútbol bielorruso, según el comunicado
colgado por la FBF en su página web. Por ese motivo, los partidos que
enfrentarán el 15 de mayo al Minsk y al Neman de Grodno, y el 16 de mayo al
Arsenal y al Lokomotiv de Gomel han sido aplazados sine die.
En el caso del
Minsk, duodécimo clasificado en la liga, un portavoz confirmó que uno de los
futbolistas de la plantilla presenta síntomas de COVID-19, motivo por el que
los entrenamientos del equipo han sido cancelados. Además, todos los miembros
del club que tienen contacto diario con la plantilla, tanto jugadores como
técnicos o empleados, deberán someterse a exámenes de coronavirus.
La federación
insistió en que seguirá adoptando todas las medidas necesarias par combatir la
propagación del coronavirus en las competiciones nacionales, como es la
presencia de antisépticos en los estadios y la separación en las gradas de los
aficionados, a los que se les mide la temperatura a su entrada en las
instalaciones.
Con todo, algunos
medios ya especulan con que la liga bielorrusa, la única de Europa que se ha
disputado pese a la pandemia, podría ser suspendida. Tras un mal arranque, el
BATÉ se encaramó el fin de semana al primer puesto del campeonato con 16 puntos
en ocho jornadas, los mismos que el Slutsk, segundo clasificado.
El presidente
bielorruso, Alexandr Lukashenko, aseguró hoy que la situación epidemiológica en
el país es "soportable" y destacó que muchos países están emulando el
ejemplo de Bielorrusia y vuelven a la vida normal. Lukashenko se ha negado
desde un principio a reconocer la gravedad de la pandemia y relacionó los
fallecimientos con las "enfermedades crónicas" que padecían.
Mientras, la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) ha recomendado la adopción
de medidas a gran escala a Minsk, que registró ya casi 24.000 casos y 135
