El International Football Association Board (IFAB) y la FIFA han aprobado este viernes cambios en el reglamento del fútbol a nivel mundial para que una vez que vuelvan las competiciones tras la crisis del COVID-19 se pueden realizar cinco cambios en lugar de tres durante los partidos y que cada equipo pueda convocar 23 jugadores en lugar de los habituales 18.
La modificación del reglamento se llevará a cabo en el apartad tercero del mismo denominado "Regla 3. Los jugadores". La norma permitirá un máximo de cinco cambios por equipo en los torneos ya iniciadas o que tengan la intención de volver jugar y cuya de finalización estaba prevista para antes del 31 de diciembre de 2020 aunque se estudiará que pueda ampliarse también de cara a 2021. Los cambios del reglamento entran en vigor desde ya y el organismo asegura que se deben a que "se van a disputar un buen número de partidos en un breve periodo y con condiciones meteorológicas diferentes a las previstas, lo cual podría repercutir negativamente en la salud de los futbolistas".
La IFAB puntualiza en su comunicado que "con el fin de evitar al máximo las interrupciones, cada equipo dispondrá de tres oportunidades para realizar las cinco sustituciones, que también se podrán llevar a cabo durante el descanso".
Asimismo la IFAB se ha pronunciado sobre el uso del VAR y la posibilidad de dejar de usarlo dadas las condiciones excepcionales: "Las competiciones que cuenten con árbitros asistentes de vídeo (VAR), estas podrán prescindir de sus servicios una vez reiniciada la competición, siempre que así lo decida el organizador de la misma. No obstante, en las competiciones que decidan continuar con el VAR seguirán en vigor las Reglas de Juego en su integridad y, por extensión, el protocolo del VAR".
Así queda el nuevo reglamento:
- Cada equipo podrá hacer un máximo de cinco sustituciones.
- Para reducir las interrupciones del partido, cada equipo tendrá un máximo de tres oportunidades para realizar sustituciones durante el juego; Las sustituciones también se pueden hacer en el descanso.
- Si ambos equipos hacen una sustitución al mismo tiempo, esto contará como una de las tres oportunidades para cada equipo.
- Las sustituciones y oportunidades no utilizadas se transfieren a una hipotética prórroga.
- Cuando las reglas de la competición permitan una sustitución adicional en la prórroga, cada equipo tendrá una oportunidad de un cambio adicional; Las sustituciones también se pueden hacer antes del inicio de la prórroga y en el descanso de la misma
