"Es el

para seguir mejorando", dijo.
Matteo Darmian,
el que fuese jugador del Manchester United y que ahora milita en el Parma, ha
concedido una entrevista al diario The Guardian en la que ha repasado los
jugadores que más le han impresionado durante estos años, desde Rooney, que le
dejó anonadado “desde el primer entrenamiento”, hasta Rashford, que en esos
momentos era todavía el diamante por pulir de la cantera red devil.
“Había
otro jugador además de Rooney que me impresionó muchísimo…”, recuerda en el
diario británico mientras evoca el día en que el joven delantero inglés entrenó
por primera vez con la primera plantilla. “Parece que fue ayer. Al momento
pensé: ‘Madre mía, es un jugador increíble’. Hizo muchísimas cosas
impresionantes para un jugador de su edad, pero es que la forma en que ha ido
mejorando cada detalle es espectacular”.
Para el italiano,
que compartió vestuario hasta 2018 con el entonces talento emergente, el inglés
no tiene límites. “Si sigue trabajando de esta forma podemos estar hablando de
un ganador del Balón de Oro, estoy seguro, Es el que más me impresionó de todos
los jugadores del United y todavía es muy joven para seguir mejorando, por lo
que yo creo que puede llegar al nivel de Kylian Mbappé y competirle los trofeos
individuales en el futuro”, explica el veterano jugador, que llegó a ponerse 92
veces la camiseta del Manchester United tras fichar por los red devils en 2015.
Además, también
elogió al actual técnico del Manchester United, el noruego Ole Gunnar
Solskjaer, al que ve perfectamente capacitado para el puesto: “Solo puedo
hablar bien de él, la verdad. Si fuese decisión mía le haría un contrato de
larga duración. Es un entrenador preparado y ahora que el club ha iniciado este
proyecto, este viaje con tantos jugadores jóvenes, habrá muchos jugadores
británicos que quieran unirse a él. Espero que tenga mucho éxito allí”.
