Premier League emitió un comunicado donde informó que los veinte clubes de la
máxima división del campeonato inglés se han puesto de acuerdo en acabar la
temporada dentro del campo de juego. Pese a las cancelaciones que ha habido en
Holanda con la Eredivisie y en Francia con la Ligue 1, desde Inglaterra está
firme la idea de reanudar lo que quedaba de campeonato.
Hoy por hoy,
Reino Unido terminaría la cuarentena obligatoria el próximo 7 de mayo, es
decir, la próxima semana. De no postegarse eso o darse una apertura gradual,
los equipos podrían volver a entrenar. En España, donde la situación es
similiar, los equipos regresarán a los entrenamientos la próxima semana, pero
de manera individual y con muchos protocolos sanitarios por cumplir.

El plan de la
Premier League es jugar a puertas cerradas y en estadio neutrales. Sí, el
regreso a las canchas serían sin público en las tribunas y los equipos rotarían
entre ocho o diez recintos a elegir. Esa sería la única manera de acabar la

de la Premier League. El máximo candidato para estar es, lógicamente, Wembley,
uno de los estadios más históricos del fútbol mundial. Además, también en
Londres, podría jugarse en el Twickenham. Sí, sería realmente histórico, ya que
es el estadio de la selección de rugby.
Por otra parte,
también se baraja la posibilidad de jugar en el St George's Park, sede de la
Football Association (FA), que cuenta con 12 campos de entrenamiento. Un lugar
