Esta "acción de protección con medida cautelar" otorgada a Egas, se suma a la decisión de FIFA y Conmebol de reconocerlo aún como presidente de la Federación.
El expresidente de la Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol (FEF), Francisco Egas, logró este jueves una acción judicial de protección contra del Directorio que lo depuso de su cargo el viernes pasado, lo que se suma a la decisión de FIFA y Conmebol de reconocerlo aún como titular.
"El juez Cristian Silva, de la Unidad Judicial Civil con sede en Pichincha, cuya capital es Quito, otorgó hoy una acción de protección con medida cautelar solicitada por Francisco Egas en contra del Directorio de la FEF", señala la medida de la Unidad Judicial Civil.
La decisión se produce un día antes de la Asamblea Extraordinaria convocada por la nueva directiva para estudiar la crisis institucional que se ha producido desde la moción de censura que depuso a Egas e instauró en el cargo al nuevo presidente Jaime Estrada. El expresidente anunció el domingo que tomaría medidas legales contra lo que consideró "un golpe de estado" y hoy ha conseguido que la Justicia ecuatoriana respalde de momento su postura.
La medida judicial se suma a un carta conjunta de la Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CSF) y de la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones de Fútbol (FIFA) en la que aseguran que no validarán ninguna decisión de la nueva presidencia de la FEF, hasta que el caso se esclarezca. Tampoco reconocerán, según el escrito, las decisiones que salgan "del Congreso Extraordinario de este viernes hasta no recibir aclaraciones sobre el imprevisto cambio de titular la semana pasada".
Además, FIFA y CSF informan de que ninguno de los dos organismos internacionales se encuentran en estos momentos en posición de reconocer los pretendidos acuerdos adoptados por el Directorio de la FEF el pasado 24 de abril. Se referían a la resolución del Directorio de la FEF, por seis votos a favor de un total de nueve miembros, de deponer a Egas, y nombrar en su lugar al entonces vicepresidente Estrada.
La votación salió adelante luego que los seis directivos argumentaran en una resolución que Egas había desoído una decisión en diciembre del Directorio de no sobrepasarse de 4 millones de dólares en la contratación del nuevo cuerpo técnico de la selección nacional, encabezado por Antonio Cordón y Jordi Cruyff.
Y también de que expusieran que un supuesto acuerdo para la reducción salarial de ambos en un 70 por ciento, debido a la crisis por el coronavirus, no era en realidad sino una "reestructuración" de deuda, en lugar de una "reducción"; es decir, que la diferencia salarial la cobrarían en 2021.
Por ello reafirman los organismos que, por el momento, siguen reconociendo a Egas como presidente de la entidad, y que no darán validez a decisiones que se adopten, ni siquiera dentro del marco de su Congreso Extraordinario, del que dicen haberse enterado por medios de prensa. No hasta que "se proceda a una evaluación de los acuerdos adoptados y su compatibilidad con los principios de buena gobernanza determinados en los Estatutos de la FIFA y la Conmebol".
