vuelve a lanzar el claro mensaje del fútbol italiano ante la voluntad del
Gobierno de dar la temporada por acabada por la emergencia COVID-19: sin
recuperar los partidos, todo el movimiento está en peligro. El presidente de la
Federación Italiana de Fútbol, hablando durante un evento del Ascoli Calcio,
reiteró el deseo de reanudar los campeonatos en cuanto sea posible: "Hasta
que sea presidente de la FIGC nunca firmaré el bloqueo de los campeonatos,
porque esto supondría la muerte del fútbol italiano. Estoy defendiendo los
intereses de todos y rechazo firmar algo así, salvo condiciones objetivas que
pongan en peligro la salud de los que participan a este deporte. Si cerramos
definitivamente, el sistema perderá 800 millones, que bajarían a 300 si
recuperamos los partidos a puerta cerrada".
El máximo
directivo del deporte rey en el Bel Paese explicó: "El PSG comunicó haber
perdido 200 millones cuando el Gobierno decretó el cierre de las competiciones.
¿Se imaginan los conflictos que nacerían con ascensos, descensos,
patrocinadores?". Según Gravina, el fútbol tendrá que convivir con el
virus como harán todos los otros sectores: "Dicen que debemos esperar la
vacuna, si así fuera no se jugaría tampoco la liga 2020/21. La gente no
entiende, o finge no entender".
