El presidente
de la UEFA, Ceferin, se mostró optimista en su discurso en el centenario de la
Federación de su país, Eslovenia: "El coronavirus es terrible, pero no
podrá con el fútbol".

Ceferin se ha mostrado optimista y cree que pese a que "el fútbol está
sufriendo muchísimo" pronto "emergerá con más fuerza". "El
coronavirus es algo terrible, pero no es el Apocalipsis. Saldremos de la
crisis", ha avanzado el presidente de la UEFA durante su intervención en
el centenario de la Federación de su país, Eslovenia.
El directivo ha
reconocido que el daño que la pandemia está causando "en todo el mundo y
en todos los sectores de la sociedad está siendo durísimo, pero para remontar
lo peor de esta crisis hace falta el fútbol porque trasmite positividad y lleva
a alegría a la gente. En ningún modo pienso que esta pandemia vaya a terminar
con nuestro deporte. Es más, llevará su tiempo, pero los hinchas volverán a
llenar los estadios con pasión y emoción".
Se viene
especulando en las últimas fechas con la posibilidad de que los partidos
internacionales de selecciones previstos entre los próximos meses de septiembre
y noviembre, los que deben disputarse en la Liga de Naciones, vayan a ser suspendidos.
Ceferin no hizo alusión a esta circunstancia, pero la Federación de su país
anunció en su presencia durante la gala de su centenario que el encuentro
conmemorativo de la efeméride que Eslovenia y Portugal tenían programado para
el próximo 31 de mayo en la ciudad de Ljubljana había sido suspendido por la
pandemia.
