El jugador lo
usó durante un partido en la Liga de su país y sólo aguantó 15 minutos.
Después de que se
filtrara un documento del gobierno alemán en el que decía que podrían
recomendarle a la Bundesliga que cuando se reinicie el torneo, les sugererían
que los futbolistas usaran mascarillas durante los partidos para combatir el
contagio del COVID-19.
Ante esta
situación, MARCA se puso en contacto con Jorge Vargas, futbolista del
Diriangén, club situado en la ciudad de Diriamba, en Nicaragua, que hace unas
semanas él y sus compañeros usaron las mascarillas en un partido de la Liga
(una de las pocas en el mundo que no se suspendió por la pandemia del
coronavirus) ante el Ocotal.
“No veo
conveniente que en Europa vuelvan a jugar, pero los jugadores no decidimos
esto. Puede haber muertos"
Consultado sobre
su primera experiencia, Vargas explica: "No me pareció muy cómodo, no
podía respirar muy bien y la vez que lo utilizamos contra el Ocotal sólo pude
aguantar 15 minutos, pero no sólo fui yo, sino que también nuestros compañeros
se lo quitaron. Usamos esas mascarillas porque fue una decisión del grupo. Lo
hablamos entre todos y llegamos a la conclusión de probarlos".

respirar con las mascarillas, pero todo es cuestión de acostumbrarse"
Esa medida fue un
caso único y sorprendió el hecho de que lo hicieran en Nicaragua y el jugador
del Cacique, apodo por el que se conoce a su equipo, comenta: "Si se
llegara a implantar en el futuro el uso de las mascarillas estaría bien porque,
aunque no nos podemos proteger al 100%, sería un avance positivo y tocaría
adaptarse a usarlos. Eso es lo de menos, porque todo es cuestión de adaptación,
como en el caso de los enfermeros, que están obligados a llevarlos durante
todos los días y durante semanas en los hospitales. No tengo dudas de que al
principio sería dificultoso, pero lo miro como algo positivo".
Sobre las expectativas de que el público regrese a los campos de juego y los partidos no se jueguen a puertas cerradas, el futbolista colombiano, nacido en el Chocó, dice: "Jugar sin la hinchada sería algo diferente, porque son ellos los que nos ponen ese plus para motivarnos y nosotros jugamos para ellos. Sin su presencia, al fútbol lo sentiríamos mucho más apagado y no lo disfrutaríamos totalmente".
Sobre las vuelta
al fútbol, como se está especulando ya en las Ligas europeos, analiza: "A
pesar de que las condiciones sobre el coronavirus son diferentes en Europa y en
Nicaragua no creo que sea conveniente comenzar a jugar en estos momentos. No
tenemos que ser egoístas y pensar en nosotros como futbolistas y en nuestros
sueños, sino también hay que pensar en nuestras familias. Porque si llegamos a
portar el virus y llevarlo a nuestras casas puede ser algo muy malo, porque
afectaría a toda la familia: esposa, hijos, padres, hermanos... Puede haber
muertos. No veo conveniente que en Europa vuelvan a jugar, pero lamentablemente
los jugadores no decidimos esto".
