Ceferin llama a consulta a las 55 federaciones de la UEFA

También ha convocado al Grupo de Trabajo formado por la ECA, FIFPro y las Ligas europeas. Hay dos alternativas: o jugar en paralelo Liga y Champions entre junio y julio o concentrar la Copa de Europa en agosto.

 

La UEFA espera cerrar esta semana un calendario para terminar tanto las competiciones nacionales como las continentales. Ceferin ha citado este martes al Grupo de Trabajo formado por la ECA, FIFPro, y las Ligas y el miércoles a las 55 federaciones europeas para conocer su parecer sobre las dos alternativas preparadas por el director de Competiciones de la organización, Giorgio Marchetti. Ya el jueves, con todos los datos, Ceferin ha convocado al Comité Ejecutivo de la UEFA para tomar una decisión colegiada, siempre a expensas de la pandemia remita según lo previsto y no se produzcan rebrotes del coronavirus.

 

El presidente de LaLiga, Javier Tebas, es miembro del Grupo de Trabajo de la UEFA y reveló que el plan para España es volver a los entrenamientos en mayo y a la competición el primer o el segundo fin de semana de junio. Ceferin dijo en una entrevista en el 'Corriere della Sera' que "ese mismo plan vale para otras ligas europeas" y que no descarta "que se puedan jugar de forma paralela los campeonatos nacionales y la Champions, aunque siempre a puerta cerrada. No es lo ideal, pero es la manera de recuperar cierta normalidad y de que los aficionados vuelvan a disfrutar con su equipos y con el fútbol".

 

Si las autoridades sanitarias lo permitieran, el primer escenario contempla empezar LaLiga el 5 de junio y, en el caso de España (donde faltan 11 jornadas para concluir el Campeonato) jugar ocho fines de semana consecutivos con tres jornadas entre semana. Eso permitiría disputar la última jornada de Liga el domingo 26 de julio, en horario unificado. La siguiente semana quedaría libre para disputar la final de la Champions, que se disputaría paralelamente a la Liga durante junio y julio hasta llegar a su partido final, que sería el sábado 1 de agosto.

 

El plan B de la UEFA es concentrar toda la Champions en el mes de agosto. Con un calendario comprimido y las ligas nacionales finalizadas, el 7 y 8 de agosto se señalan como los días para los partidos de vuelta de octavos: Manchester City-Real Madrid, Barcelona-Nápoles, Bayern-Chelsea y Juventus-Olympique de Lyon. Según este plan, los partidos de ida de cuartos de final se jugarán el 11 o 12 de agosto y la vuelta el 14 o el 15. Fechas en la que entrarían Atlético de Madrid, PSG, RB Leipzig y Atalanta clasificados para cuartos antes del parón por el coronavirus. La ida de las semifinales será el 18 y 19 de agosto y la vuelta el 21 y 22. La final de la máxima competición europea se jugaría el 29 de agosto en el estadio Ataturk de Estambul.

 

En todo caso, lo que ha dejado claro Ceferin es que ve "poco probable" que las ligas puedan aplazarse hasta septiembre u octubre "porque eso tendría un impacto enorme sobre el calendario de la próxima temporada, a la que hemos sumado la Eurocopa". El presidente de la Federación (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, nunca descartó esta posibilidad, pero las recientes declaraciones del presidente de la UEFA no apuntan en su misma dirección.
