El campeonato
se suspendió el 17 de marzo.
La Liga de
Primera División de Rusia (RPL) espera poder reanudar el campeonato de fútbol
en algún momento entre mediados de junio y mediados de julio, pero todo depende
de la situación del coronavirus en el país, señaló hoy en su página web.
La Unión de
Fútbol de Rusia (UFR), siguiendo las recomendaciones de las autoridades y de la
UEFA, suspendió el pasado 17 de marzo el campeonato de liga inicialmente
hasta el próximo 10 de abril, pero se vio obligada a prolongar la medida
hasta el 31 de mayo.
La RPL señaló
este domingo que el campeonato se reanudará "en cuanto las autoridades
eliminen las restricciones" a la celebración de eventos públicos, lo
que incluye los deportivos.
"La
directiva de la RPL, junto con nuestros colegas de la UFR, participa en todas
las llamadas telemáticas con la FIFA, la UEFA y otras organizaciones de fútbol
que trabajan en la reanudación de los campeonatos europeos. En base a
información que se actualiza constantemente, simulamos varias opciones en el calendario
para la actual y la próxima temporada", indicó en su página web.
"Mientras
planeamos reanudar el campeonato en cualquiera de las semanas desde mediados de
junio a mediados de julio, la fecha dependerá de la propagación del coronavirus
y de los decretos de las autoridades"", explicó la RPL.
Una de las
opciones que se baraja es reanudar la liga sin espectadores en las gradas.
Por recomendación
de la UEFA se ha descartado ya dar por terminado el campeonato en Rusia, aunque
la ventaja del Zenit sobre el segundo, el Krasnodar, es notable, nueve puntos,
a falta de ocho jornadas para el final.
Rusia se acercó
este domingo a los 43.000 casos de coronavirus (42.853), tras registrar un
aumento récord de 6.060 positivos en las últimas 24 horas, según las últimas
cifras difundidas hoy.
En total en el
país 361 personas han fallecido por la COVID-19.
