Los equipos de
Serie A están preparándose para regresar al trabajo en mayo: la esperanza es
reanudar las competiciones al final del próximo mes o en los primeros días de
junio, como repite casi a diario el presidente de la federación Gabriele
Gravina. Sin embargo, hoy durante la habitual rueda de prensa de la Protección
Civil, Giovanni Rezza, director del departamento de enfermedades infecciosas
del Instituto Superior de Sanidad, declaró no ver con buenos ojos esa opción:
"Soy hincha de la Roma y, por eso, diría de terminar aquí la
temporada", afirmó riendo, "decidirá la política, pero el fútbol es
un deporte de contacto y puede ser peligroso. Ya estamos en mayo... Escucho
hipótesis sobre controlar más a los jugadores, pero lo veo forzado. Si tuviera
que dar mi opinión, yo estaría en contra".
Estas frases
causaron reacciones en los dos 'bandos' del campeonato italiano: los que
quieren recuperar los partidos a toda costa, y los que prefieren que todo se
termine. Cada uno, obviamente, tiene sus intereses. El presidente del Torino
Urbano Cairo siempre fue pesimista ante la idea de regresar al verde y afirmó a
la agencia ‘ANSA’: "El profesor Rezza tiene razón, es imposible volver a
jugar a finales de mayo. Es un hombre de ciencia y dijo lo mismo que yo desde
hace semanas". La Lazio, en cambio, está en lucha por el scudetto como no
le pasaba desde hace 20 años y aprieta para seguir las competiciones. Su jefe de
comunicación, Arturo Diaconale, atacó a Rezza en la agencia Adnkronos:
"Ser hincha de un equipo, a veces, perjudica hasta a los científicos. Los
expertos serían mucho más útiles si buscaran una solución o una vacuna para
parar el contagio. Los científicos que hagan de científicos, y no de
tifosi".
