Al igual que
sucedió en México, la MLS dará inicio el 19 de abril a su temporada virtual, en
la que serán los futbolistas de los diferentes equipos quienes tomen el mando
para batirse en FIFA20.
En tiempos de
cuarentena por el avance de la pandemia de coronavirus a nivel mundial, la
tecnología se ha puesto del lado de los fanáticos del deporte, más
concretamente del lado de aquellos aficionados que, si hablamos de fútbol, ya
no pueden contener sus ganas de gritar un gol.
En México fueron
verdaderos pioneros a relación a esto y lanzaron la eLiga MX, que comenzó el
pasado viernes y replicará el calendario del Torneo Clausura 2020, solo que con
los futbolistas tomando el mando de las acciones desde su casa en duelos de
FIFA 20. En los primeros días de competencia, amén del entusiasmo, el saldo y
la repercusión ha sido más que positivo.
Ahora será la
Major League Soccer la que comenzará a desandar un camino similar, aunque no se
emulará la temporada completa sino que tendrá lugar una suerte de torneo
relámpago, de cinco semanas, del que participarán 16 equipos a eliminación
directa, representados por dos jugadores por cada uno de ellos (uno de la vida
real y otro especialista en eGames).

La eMLS ya venía
disputándose desde 2018, pero estaba destinada exclusivamente a los gamers y
esta será la primera vez que participen del certamen los ídolos de carne y
hueso. Habrá entre ellos mucha presencia latinoamericana, entre quienes se
destacan Chicharito Hernández, Kendall Waston, Diego Fagundez, Francisco Calvo,
Franco Escobar y Erik Godoy.
La competencia
tendrá inicio el domingo 19 de abril, con los dos primeros cruces de octavos de
final: Cicago Fire (Francisco Calvo) vs FC Cincinnati (Kendall Waston) y Los
Angeles FC (Adama Diomande) vs LA Galaxy (Chicharito Hernández).
