El jugador del
Manchester United Paul Pogba reconoció que lleva "mucho tiempo
frustrado" debido a la lesión que le ha permitido jugar sólo ocho partidos
en esta temporada y quiere "volver" a sentirse futbolista en cuanto
se reanude la Premier League tras la pandemia del coronavirus.
"Ya estoy
entrenando y tocando la pelota. Estoy cada vez más cerca", anunció el
internacional francés en el podcast oficial UTD del Manchester United. Pogba
brilló en el estreno liguero, pero poco después se lesionó y apenas ha
participado esta campaña. Volvió al mes, pero a finales de septiembre, contra
el Chelsea, decidió pasar por quirófano.
"Llevo mucho
tiempo frustrado. Ahora estoy casi listo, así que sólo estoy pensando en
regresar y entrenar a la par que mis compañeros. Nunca he pasado por algo como
esto en mi carrera, así que siempre me lo tomo de buena manera. Me dan más
ganas de regresar y hacerlo bien. Y sí, demuestra cuánto amo realmente el
fútbol", indicó.
El campeón del
mundo con Francia admitió que "hay que tener mucha paciencia"
hablando de su lesión. "No sé si muchas personas realmente saben lo que
pasó", explicó. "Tuve una lesión en el pie, ocurrió en el partido
ante Southampton. Fue al comienzo de la temporada y seguí así durante mucho
tiempo, entrenando y jugando lesionado. Después, vimos que el pie estaba
fracturado y estuve dos meses sin jugar", recordó.
"Estuve
enyesado... me fue muy bien, pero demasiado bien. El hueso creció y, al volver,
jugué esos dos partidos ante Watford y Newcastle y volví a sentir algo. Tuve
que operarme y aquí estoy. Ya no siento nada, así que espero volver muy
pronto", añadió Pogba.
Por último, el
centrocampista de los 'red devils' dijo que echaba de menos las rutinas diarias
con sus compañeros de equipo. "Honestamente, sí", contestó. "Ya
ni me acuerdo cómo se siente. Lo único que quiero es volver a tener esa
sensación. La echo de menos porque es mi trabajo, soy futbolista. Realmente
disfruto jugando al fútbol", finalizó.
