ingleses se reúnen pero dan por hecho, según la BBC, que la fecha de reinicio
de sus competiciones se alargará.
Las federaciones
siguen buscando soluciones para acabar sus campeonatos locales, intentando
hacer buena la recomendación de UEFA de no dar por finalizada la liga en los
despachos y aguantar a poder concluirla sobre el césped.
La Federación de
Fútbol Inglés ha elaborado un comunicado en el que afirma su firme voluntad de
concluir la temporada asegurando que "hay un objetivo común para que todos
los partidos de liga y copa pendientes se jueguen, lo que nos permite mantener
la integridad de cada competición".
Añade que
"no reanudará la competición en mayo" (como se aventuró en un
principio) y afirma que "la prioridad es ayudar a la salud y el bienestar
de la nación y nuestras comunidades, incluidos los jugadores, entrenadores,
gerentes, personal del club y seguidores".

una de las opciones que se especuló para acabar la temporada
Entre las
hipótesis el medio The Athletic informa que se estudia la posibilidad de irse a
China a terminar la temporada. En el país asiático la pandemia parece haber
remitido (es el primer país donde comenzó) y podrían desplazarse allí los
equipos de la Premier para acabar las nueve jornadas pendientes.
Otros medios como
The Mirror o Independent hablan sobre congregar a todos los equipos en una
macroconcetración donde se aíslen en hoteles y salgan solo para jugar.
Esto ayudaría a
salvar económicamente parte de la temporada con pérdidas millonaria y muchos
empleos dependientes de que vuelva a rodar el balón.

También informan
que "ante las pérdidas sustanciales desde que comenzó la suspensión de los
partidos, y para proteger el empleo durante la competición profesional los
clubes de la Liga Premier acordaron por unanimidad consultar a sus jugadores
sobre una combinación de reducciones condicionales y aplazamientos por valor
del 30%".
En esa misma
línea el comunicado informa que se adelantarán fondo por valor de 125 millones
de libras para las competiciones inferiores a la Premier.
