
El presidente
de la UEFA se mostró muy crítico con los clubes belgas en ZDF y realizó una
amenaza a los que den por acabada la temporada.
La liga en
Bélgica no se va a reanudar. A falta de confirmación oficial, la Jupiter Pro
League ya ha terminado, y a falta de la disputa de un partido, el Brujas es el
campeón del torneo de la regularidad en el país de la Flecha Valona.
Esta medida no ha
gustado nada a las principales instituciones del fútbol europeo, entre las que
se encuentra la UEFA. El máximo organismo del fútbol en el Viejo Continente ya
se ha pronunciado al respecto, a través de su presidente, Aleksander Ceferin.
El dirigente, en
una entrevista en la televisión alemana ZDF, ha amenazado a todo aquel que
quiera dar la campaña por finalizada con partidos pendientes por disputarse con
dejarles fuera de las competiciones europeos, al menos la próxima temporada.
"No creo que
sea el movimiento adecuado. La solidaridad no es un camino de un único sentido.
No puedes pedir ayuda y luego decidir por tí mismo que es lo que más te
conviene. Y debo decir; los belgas y aquellos que estén considerando hacer lo
mismo ahora se arriesgan a no participar en las competiciones europeas el
próximo año", expresó el presidente de la UEFA.
La medida del
fútbol belga de finalizar la temporada sin disputar el último encuentro no ha
gustado nada ni a la UEFA ni a la ECA, y es por eso que la institución mandó
una misiva a las Federaciones y clubes europeos para que no tomen una medida
que les podría acarrear una dura sanción.
Sobre la
Champions y la Europa League, suspendidas por el momento 'sinedie', Ceferin fue
sincero. Habló de que se pueden jugar a puerta cerrada las rondas que quedan de
ambas competiciones, cuando finalicen todos los torneos nacionales pasado el 30
de junio, pero negó que ambas competiciones se puedan jugar en otoño.
"El fútbol
no es para nada lo mismo sin aficionados. Pero es definitivamente mejor jugar a
fútbol sin seguidores en la grada y tenerlo de nuevo en la televisión, que no
tener nada en absoluto. Eso es lo que la gente quiere, eso les devuelve energía
positiva a sus hogares. Probablemente sea julio o agosto. No podemos
desarrollarlo en septiembre u octubre", resumió.
LA FEDERACIÓN
BELGA, FIRME EN LA SUSPENSIÓN
Ante las
contundentes declaraciones del presidente de la UEFA, la Federación Belga
emitió un comunicado para defender la decisión de la Jupiter Pro League de
suspender lo que queda de competición.
"Tanto la
KBVB como la Jupiler Pro League son firmes partidarios de la solidaridad del
fútbol europeo. Es precisamente desde esta solidaridad que nuestros
representantes abogaron por una política que permitiera enfrentar esta
situación respetando el contexto específico de cada liga", expresó el
organismo, explicando las razones por su parte para tomar la decisión que se ha
tomado.
