Gravina, presidente de la Federación Italiana, anunció que analizan el Calcio
se reanude el 20 de mayo para finalizar la temporada.
Italia fue el
primer país del Viejo Continente en sufrir en todo su esplendor la pandemia del
coronavirus, que hasta el día lo azota y de gran manera todos los días. A su
vez, el Calcio fue la liga más importante de Europa en empezar a postegar y
reprogramar sus partidos debido al COVID-19. Primero se trataron de algunas
suspensiones en el norte, donde empezó a expandirse el virus, después algunos
partidos a puertas cerradas y finalmente la suspensión hasta tiempo
indeterminado.
Sin embargo,
desde la Federación de Fútbol Italiana, dieron detalles de cuándo podría
regresar el fútbol en el país, que por ahora está en cuarentena obligatoria
hasta pasadas las dos primeras semanas del mes de abril. Recordamos que Italia
ya superó los cien mil contagios y las víctimas fatales ascienden a trece mil.
Por día, se contabilizan las muertes de lo que serían dos accidentes de aviones
comerciales. Una verdadera locura que esperemos que termine cuanto antes.

Gabriele Gravina,
presidente de la Federación, habló justamente desde la cuarentena obligatoria y
confirmó que analizan cuándo podría retomar actividad el Calcio. ¿La
posibilidad más concreta en estos días? En la segunda quince del próximo mes:
mayo. Dejó en claro que "la prioridad absoluta" es sí acabar la
temporada 2019/20. A la Serie A le quedaban doce jornadas por jugarse. Juventus
iba primero en la tabla de posiciones con 63 puntos, mientras la Lazio, su
perseguidor más próximo, tenía 62. Una pelea que daba mucho que hablar en la
recta final.
"Nadie a día
de hoy puede hacer previsiones hasta que tengamos esta emergencia sanitaria. Es
una emergencia única, que afectó todos los sectores. Pero en cuanto esté
superada debemos salir adelante y el fútbol está pensando en qué manera
reanudar la competición. La prioridad absoluta es terminar los
campeonatos", manifestó el máximo directivo del fútbol italiano, que
igualmente fue cuato con las fechas a dar para el posibel regreso del Calcio.
"Hasta el 18
de abril debería haber un aislamiento total. La hipótesis es empezar el 20 de
mayo o, como última opción, a principios de junio, para terminar en
julio", dijo. Además, finalizó: "Hasta se habla de terminar en agosto
y septiembre, pero yo he destacado que no quiero correr el riesgo de arruinar
otra temporada para salvar esta. Hoy nadie puede hacer previsiones, pero
programar es un deber".
