Jonas Baer-Hoffmann, secretario general de FIFpro, el sindicato internacional
de futbolistas.
Mayoritariamente
los jugadores quieren que la presente temporada 2019-2020 se complete. En estos
términos se expresó este martes FIFpro, el sindicato internacional de
futbolistas, que manifestó que, cuando el fútbol pueda reanudarse tras la
crisis por la pandemia del coronavirus, la prioridad debe ser acabar las ligas.
La mayoría de las mismas se suspendieron este mes de marzo a raíz del brote de
Covid-19 a nivel mundial y existe incertidumbre sobre qué sucederá al respecto.
Con este propósito
se aplazaron la Eurocopa 2020 y la Copa América, con el objetivo de que los
respectivos campeonatos 2019-20 puedan finalizar. Jonas Baer-Hoffmann,
secretario general de FIFpro, aseguró a este respecto que el hecho de que no se
completen las ligas “no es una opción ahora”.

manifestó: “Todo el mundo perderá si eso sucede. No es responsable hacer esta
consideración en este momento. Si hay alguna posibilidad de acabar la
temporada, tenemos que hacerlo porque el impacto para los jugadores y todo el
mundo del fútbol será grande si no lo hacemos”.
Hay versiones
según las cuales la presente temporada puede acabar prolongándose hasta agosto
o septiembre, con lo que la 2020-21 empezaría también más tarde. También hay
clubs que sostienen que la actual debería anularse.

manifestó que ha visto buenas y malas respuestas a la crisis. El secretario
general del sindicato de futbolistas elogió a los jugadores del Barcelona y de
la Juventus por haber aceptado la reducción en sus salarios, pero estima que no
debe presionarse a los futbolistas de clubs más pequeños para que hagan lo
mismo.
“Las
diferencias económicas son muy grandes en unos casos y otros. Hay que utilizar
el sentido común. Hay jugadores que ganan entre 300 y 1.000 euros al mes en
algunos países”, dijo al respecto Baer-Hoffmann.

El secretario
general del sindicato explicó que han contactado con dicho organismo
futbolistas de Bielorrusia, cuya liga se juega, “y están muy preocupados,
deberían tomarse allí las mismas medidas que en los otros países”.
