dirigente del club galo murió a los 68 años antes de ser repatriado de Senegal
a Francia en un avión sanitario.
Según confirmaron
fuentes de su familia, el ex presidente del Marsella Pape Diouf ha fallecido
este martes a los 68 años a causa del coronavirus. Estaba previsto que Pape
Diouf fuera repatriado de Dakar a Niza en un avión sanitario, pero no fue
posible porque el estado de salud del ex dirigente del club marsellés empeoró.
El Marsella está de luto y también el fútbol francés. Kylian Mbappé fue uno de
los primeros en publicar su mensaje de recuerdo a Pape Diouf y de apoyo a su
familia.
Así, el avión en
que Pape Diouf iba a viajar a Francia no llegó a despegar y el ex presidente
del Marsella falleció este martes en suelo de Senegal, siempre según dichas
fuentes de su familia. Mensajes de dolor y de apoyo a sus seres queridos
empezaron a llegar en cuanto se confirmó la noticia.

recibirle en Niza para acompañarle.

Ex periodista,
agente de jugadores y después presidente del Marsella (de 2005 a 2009), Diouf
contribuyó a formar el equipo que ganó la Ligue 1 en 2010, a las órdenes de

club. Pape Diouf (nacido en Abéché, Chad, de padres senegaleses) había llegado
a Marsella a los 18 años y en su primera etapa ejerció de periodista.
