su presidente, Aleksander Ceferin, en una entrevista para 'La Reppublica',
enumerando los planes para reanudar las competiciones.
El mundo del
fútbol se encuentra completamente paralizado. La crisis del coronavirus ha
hecho que toda las competiciones del Viejo Continente se hayan visto detenidas,
hasta nuevo aviso, y por el momento hay muchas incógnitas en el aire.
Una de ellas es
cuando regresará el deporte del balón. El presidente de la UEFA, Aleksander
Ceferin, concedió una entrevista al diario italiano 'La Repubblica' y afirmó
que en la organización se manejan varias alternativas para volver a la acción.
"No sabemos
cuándo terminará la pandemia, así que tenemos un plan A, B y C listo para
buscar diferentes soluciones", comentó el dirigente esloveno a la
publicación, confirmando que se encuentra trabajando en varias alternativas
para una fecha de vuelta de todas las competiciones, incluyendo la Champions y
la Europa League, que se aplazaron 'sinedie', incluyendo sus finales.
Otro de los
puntos clave de la entrevista con el presidente de la UEFA tuvo que ver con la
Eurocopa. El aplazamiento de la misma fue una de las grandes consecuencias del
aumento y la expansión de la pandemia, y en la institución no quisieron correr
riesgos.
"Debemos
esperar, como todos los demás. El sacrificio de la Eurocopa fue difícil, es el
principal ingreso económico de 50 federaciones de 55. Pero fue la decisión
correcta", afirmó, confiando en que la decisión tomada fue la correcta a
la vista de lo sucedido.
Además, quiso
concretar en las diferentes opciones que maneja la máxima organización del
fútbol europeo para establecer una nueva fecha de vuelta para todos los torneos
locales y continentales de Europa.
"Hay varias
opciones, que se reanude desde mayo hasta finales de junio. Si no pudiéramos
hacerlo, la temporada probablemente se pierda. Aunque también hay una propuesta
de terminar esta temporada a inicios de la próxima, que arrancaría algo más
tarde", comentó.
“La
solución tendrá que ser la mejor para clubes y ligas, si las ligas se reanudan,
también pueden reanudar las copas y también podríamos aprovechar las mismas
fechas. Existe el problema de los contratos que vencen el 30 de junio, se
necesitaría un compromiso. Si la temporada se desliza, siempre hay que
considerar que la Eurocopa 2021 debería comenzar el 11 de junio y que para
entonces también la próxima temporada tendrá que estar cerrada", finalizó.
