domésticas se disputarían entre semana, pero ya para empezar la Serie A no
aprobaría dicha opción.
El calendario
italiano es el más congestionado debido a los partidos aplazados por el
coronavirus.
Según informa la
Gazzetta dello Sport, una posible solución que baraja la UEFA para poder terminar
la temporada es que los partidos de Champions y de Europa League se disputen
durante el fin de semana y las ligas de cada país, entre semana. La final de la
Champions tendría lugar el 27 de junio en Estambul y la de la Europa League, el
24.
Pero esta posibilidad
no convence a todas las ligas europeas. Una de las que no aprueba dicha opción
de que los eurotorneos se disputen en fin de semana es la Serie A, que es, de
todas las grandes ligas europeas, la que tiene el calendario pendiente más
congestionado, debido al número de partidos que fueron ya suspendidos cuando se
inició en el país transalpino el brote de coronavirus.
Una vez que la
UEFA anunció el martes el aplazamiento de la Eurocopa 2020 para 2021, con el
objeto de que puedan acabar las competiciones a nivel de clubs, los
responsables del fútbol de cada país están ahora estudiando las fechas para
intentar que, si se normaliza la situación que se vive debido a la pandemia del
coronavirus, se pueda terminar esta temporada 2019-20.
De los octavos de
la Champions restan por jugarse los partidos de vuelta Juventus-Lyon (1-0 para
los de Rudi Garcia en la ida), Manchester City-Real Madrid (1-2 para los de Pep
Guardiola en el Santiago Bernabéu), Barcelona-Nápoles (1-1) y Bayern-Chelsea
(0-3 para los alemanes). Ya clasificados para cuartos están Atlético de Madrid
(tras eliminar al campeón Liverpool), Leipzig (tras dejar fuera al Tottenham de
José Mourinho), Atalanta (se impuso al Valencia) y Paris Saint-Germain (al
Borussia Dortmund).
