La ANFP
anunció la suspensión temporal de sus competiciones debido a la pandemia.
La Asociación
Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP) de Chile suspendió temporalmente este
lunes la liga de Primera División y las del resto de categorías como prevención
ante la pandemia por coronavirus que en este país ya deja 155 contagiados.
La ANFP anunció
que la medida se aplicará a partir de la próxima jornada, por lo que los dos
partidos restantes de la octava fecha, que finaliza este lunes, serán los
últimos en disputarse. Ambos se jugarán a puerta cerrada como medida
preventiva.
"La
Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional ha determinado la suspensión de las
competencias de ligas profesionales y fútbol femenino por un plazo de 14 días,
a partir del miércoles 18 de marzo de 2020", informó a través de un
comunicado.
El
O'Higgins-Antofagasta y el Curicó Unido-Unión La Calera serán los últimos
encuentros de la Liga local antes del parón.
El Universidad
Católica es líder del campeonato a la espera de lo que ocurra esta noche en los
partidos que se disputan, ya que tanto La Calera como el Curicó le alcanzarán
en lo alto de la tabla, con 19 puntos, si ganan sus encuenros.
La medida deja el
balón parado al menos dos semanas en el país austral tras la suspensión la
semana pasada de la Copa Libertadores y la Copa Sudamericana y la postergación
de las eliminatorias sudamericanas de clasificación para el Mundial de Qatar
2022.
