El tradicional
equipo de la capital inglesa está peleando por no descender en la Premier
League.
La presente
temporada de la Premier League de Inglaterra lleva nada más ni nada menos que
29 partidos disputados y es casi un hecho que el campeón será Liverpool.
Sin embargo, la
actividad en la máxima categoría del fútbol inglés debió suspenderse como
consecuencia del coronavirus, que continúa avanzando impiadoso.
En ese contexto,
uno de los equipos que se encuentran edificando una muy mala campaña en dicho
certamen doméstico decidió iniciar un pedido muy oportuno.
Se trata de West
Ham United, tradicional equipo de la capital inglesa que está luchando por no
perder la categoría y que solicitó... ¡que se anulen los descensos!
Cabe destacar que
la formación de Londres está fuera de la zona de descenso pero solamente por
tener mejor diferencia de gol que Bournemouth.
De hecho, la Premier
League está analizando decretar campeón a Liverpool, anular los descensos y
determinar los ascensos de Leeds United y West Bromwich Albion.
Karren Brady, la directora general del West Ham, ha afirmado que, vistas las suspensiones de partido en Premier League, “lo único justo y razonable es que toda la temporada se declare nula”.
