El conjunto
‘xenezie’ se impuso por la Superliga contra pronóstico a su eterno rival, River
Plate.
Si Boca Juniors
todavía sigue festejando por todo lo alto la obtención de un título que hasta
hace apenas unos días parecía que quedaría en manos de River Plate, es por
diversos motivos. Algunos determinantes, otros pequeños detalles, pero todos
ellos importantes para esta conquista con sabor especial:
En primer lugar,
la jerarquía de su plantilla. Cuando un equipo no funciona bien como tal, como
les sucedió a los ‘xeneize’ en varios tramos del certamen, la calidad
individual puede sacar adelante partidos o salvar puntos que de otra manera
sería imposible conseguir. Y así fue en este caso.
Una muestra de
carácter
En una liga como
la argentina, en la que la diferencia de presupuesto entre los poderosos –sobre
todo los dos gigantes- y el resto es abismal, Boca supo ganar cuando jugó bien
y también cuando no fue así, y eso le permitió mantener el pulso, nunca salir
de los puestos de vanguardia y llegar al tramo final con las opciones intactas.
Y allí, en esas
circunstancias, fue cuando apareció lo mejor de este campeón, porque tras pasar
crisis internas, lesiones de piezas importantes, una eliminación en semifinales
de Libertadores a manos de River, cambio de directiva y hasta de entrenador, se
encontró peleando mano a mano nada menos que con los ‘millonarios’, a los que
debió correr de atrás. Tuvo el carácter para hacerlo, supo traspasarle la
presión a su máximo oponente y aprovechó el traspié de éste en la jornada final
para coronarse.
El 'Apache',
la figura
Por supuesto que
esta conquista también se sustenta en nombres propios. En algunos casos, de los
que estuvieron dentro del campo, por supuesto. Pero en este puntual también de
algunos de los que se ubicaron al otro lado de las líneas.
A Carlos Tevez
hasta hace poco tiempo muchos lo veían retirado, y en un punto tenían razón.
Sin chispa, apagado, lejos del gol y hasta con gesto adusto. Así transitó buena
parte de este torneo, pero en los últimos meses recuperó todo eso que en su día
lo llevó a ser una estrella mundial y terminó siendo el hombre más importante
en la recta final, marcando nada menos que el gol del título.
“Volví
a tener hambre de gloria. Sentí que tenía que volver a mi barrio y pelear como
el pibe que hace un tiempo arrancó en esto del fútbol. Han sido dos o tres años
de lucha contra mi cabeza y un montón de cosas. Siempre tratando de salir de
ese pozo que se me hizo eterno. Por suerte encontré la forma y lo hice en el
momento justo”, manifestó el ‘Apache’ al término del juego que determinó la
coronación ‘xeneize’.
La importancia
de Riquelme y Russo
Dos personas
fueron clave para esa transformación del emblema del equipo y para darle
tranquilidad a la plantilla: el máximo responsable del fútbol, Juan Román
Riquelme, y el entrenador, Miguel Russo.
El ídolo eterno,
ahora en su función directiva, habló con Tevez, le brindó toda su confianza
pese a los celos que se rumoreaba que había entre ambos y lo convenció de que
todavía tenía mucho para dar.
El director
técnico, elegido por el propio Román (juntos ganaron en 2007 la última
Libertadores del club), transmitió toda su experiencia, sabiduría y calma a un
plantel que necesitaba justamente eso, creyó firmemente en las cualidades de
‘Carlitos’ y su mano se notó muy
claramente en el
rendimiento del equipo: en las siete jornadas que dirigió obtuvo 19 puntos
sobre 21 posibles.
