Pedro Conde, tras varias experiencias en Segunda B, decidió hacer las maletas rumbo a Grecia. Tras ser uno de los jugadores más en forma del campeonato heleno y que varios grandes se pelearán por él decidió irse a Emiratos, donde ahora milita en el Shabab Dubai. El futbolista atiende a MARCA en los Emiratos.
"Venir aquí ha sido un acierto porque estoy muy feliz. Después de estar en Grecia tuve varias oportunidades, entre ellos todos los equipos grandes de Grecia, pero después de muchas negociaciones decidí salir. Este equipo, el Shabab Dubai, apostó por mí muy fuerte a mitad de agosto. Lo consulté con mi mujer y vi que era una gran oportunidad. Llevo dos años en Abu Dabi y la verdad es que lo pasamos muy bien, ahora en Dubái también", señala el futbolista que viene del FC Baniyas.
Respecto al resto de españoles que están en Emiratos, Conde tuvo buenas palabras: "Con Manolo he hablado varias veces, no he tenido mucho contacto, pero siempre que he conversado con él me ha parecido un fenómeno. Un tipo muy campechano. Con Negredo sí mantengo una mejor relación porque somos los dos españoles que estamos aquí. Es muy buen tío y, desde primera hora, congeniamos bien. Es una gran persona y él me ha ayudado mucho estando fuera de casa. Sólo tengo palabras de agradecimiento para él porque te hace desconectar del fútbol y te hace sentir como en casa. Su mujer y sus niños también son fenomenales, estoy muy contento de estar coincidiendo con ellos allí".
Sobre su día a día, no es muy diferente al de España: "Es muy sencillo, desde que me levanto hasta el final estoy pensando en fútbol. Me levanto, desayuno, voy al gimnasio, como y voy a los entrenamientos por la tarde. Lo de ir al gimnasio o entrenar lo hago un par de días y sobre todo al inicio de semana. Los días que no voy al gimnasio pues igual voy a tomar un café con mi mujer cerca de casa. Los días libres sí que nos gusta salir a comer o cenar por ahí fuera, pero somos gente tranquila. Me gusta recuperarme del partido y luego cenar y pronto para casa y, si es a la hora de comer, pues empalmamos con el café y ya volvemos para casa. En los días libres, cuando Álvaro puede, también solemos quedar de vez en cuando para desconectar".
Mirando al futuro
Conde está deseando ganar un título. "Se nos ha escapado la Copa del Presidente, que es importante, pero vamos primeros en liga y vamos a pelear hasta le final. Ahora con la Champions Asiática está el problema del coronavirus, pero me encantaría ganarla. Ya tuve la oportunidad de jugar esta competición y estrenarme con goleador. Si este año finalmente no podemos terminar de jugarla por el tema del coronavirus, Dios quiera que el año que viene podamos disfrutarla. Mientras tanto, pensaremos en ganar la liga pero no es fácil porque somos el equipo a batir. Todos nos quieren ganar. Este año, la liga se ha puesto bastante competitiva. Cualquier equipo quiere ganar a cualquier equipo", insiste.
El futbolista se despide con una anécdota graciosa que le ocurrió al llegar. "Lo normal al llegar al vestuario en España o en Grecia era quitarse toda la ropa. Yo me quedaba allí como mi madre me trajo al mundo. Cuando llegué aquí yo estaba acostumbrado a eso e hice lo mismo. Cuando lo hice se me acercó un colombiano que ya estaba jugando aquí y me dijo 'tápate, tápate, que estás loco, aquí no puedes enseñar nada'. Se quedaron todos mirando y pensando qué hacía el loco este. Tengo más, pero esta es de las buenas buenas. Al final es un país completamente diferente y hay que acostumbrarse porque cada uno tenemos nuestra cultura", termina divertido.
