
La Liga local, la
Copa nacional y la Champions League está al alcance de muy pocos.
No es fácil ganar
una Liga o una Champions League. Tampoco es fácil ganar una Copa nacional. Y
mucho menos sencillo es conseguir los tres títulos en una misma temporada. Pero
a eso aspiran todavía algunos equipos en Europa, aunque de todos ellos solo el
Bayern de Munich ha sido capaz de hacerlo alguna vez.
A lo largo de los
años, sólo el Celtic de Escocia (1966-67), el Ajax de Holanda (1971-72), PSV
Eindhoven de Holanda (1987-88), el Manchester United de Inglaterra (1998-99),
el FC Barcelona (2008-09 y 2014-15), el Inter de Italia (2009-10) y el propio
Bayern alemán (2012-13) ganaron el triplete, que consiste en obtener el título
liguero, la Copa nacional y la Liga de Campeones/Copa de Europa.
En la actual
Champions League siguen con vida el Atlético de Madrid, el Liverpool, el
Borussia Dortmund, el PSG, el Atalanta, el Valencia, el RB Leipzig, el
Tottenham, el Chelsea, el Bayern, el Napoli, el Barcelona, el Lyon, la
Juventus, el Manchester City y el Real Madrid.
El Atlético, el
Barcelona, el Valencia y el Real Madrid ya están eliminados de la Copa del Rey,
mientras que el Borussia Dortmund y el Leipzig ya fueron apeados en la Copa de
Alemania. Por su parte, el Atalanta y el Napoli están fuera de la Coppa Italia.
Además, el
Chelsea ya no tiene opciones de alcanzar al Liverpool en la Premier League, por
lo que tampoco podría hacerse de los tres títulos. Precisamente los Blues
eliminaron recientemente a los Reds en la FA Cup, así que los chicos de Klopp
ya no van por el triplete. ¿El Tottenham de Mourinho? Sigue en la FA Cup, pero
la Premier ya es historia para los Spurs.
Así las cosas, al
triplete de la temporada 2019/20 aspiran seriamente el Bayern (está en
semifinales de la Copa alemana y es líder en la Bundesliga), el PSG (está en
semifinales de la Copa de Francia y es líder de la Ligue1) y la Juventus (pelea
con Lazio e Inter el Scudetto y está en semifinales de la Coppa Italia).
Virtualmente
también tendrían opciones el Lyon y el Manchester City. El club galo enfrenta
al PSG en semifinales de la Copa de Francia, pero está a 28 puntos del conjunto
parisino en la Ligue1, cuando quedan 33 puntos en juego, mientras que los
Citizens tienen casi imposible alcanzar al Liverpool en la liga inglesa (ahora
mismo están a 22 puntos con 33 en juego para los de Guardiola).
