La suerte
estuvo bastante repartida, siendo aquel en el que se encuentran Portugal,
Francia, Suecia y Croacia el más cercano a ser definido como el ‘grupo de la
muerte’.
La UEFA Nations
League 2021/21 quedó configurada este martes al celebrarse en Amsterdam el
sorteo de los grupos. Con un total de 55 participantes repartidos en cuatro
niveles diferentes, con cuatro grupos de cuatro combinados en las Ligas A, B y
C y dos grupos de cuatro y tres selecciones en la D.
España quedó
encuadrada en el grupo 4 de la Liga A, junto a Alemania, Suiza y Ucrania. En
este mismo primer nivel, en el grupo 1 están Países Bajos, Italia, Bosnia y
Polonia, en el 2 Inglaterra, Bélgica, Dinamarca e Islandia, y en el 3 Portugal,
Francia, Suecia y Croacia en el que es el ‘grupo de la muerte’.
En cuanto a la
liga B, en el grupo 1 están Austria, Noruega, Irlanda del Norte y Rumanía, en
el 2 República Checa, Escocia, Eslovaquia e Israel, en el 3 Rusia, Serbia,
Turquía y Hungría, y en el 4 Gales, Finlandia, Irlanda y Bulgaria.
Respecto a la
liga C, en el 1 se encuentran Montenegro, Chipre, Luxemburgo y Azerbaiyán, en
el 2 Georgia, Macedonia del Norte, Estonia y Armenia, en el 3 Grecia, Kosovo,
Eslovenia y Moldavia, y en el 4 Albania, Bielorrusia, Lituania y Kazajistán.
Por último, en la
Liga D, en el grupo 1 Islas Feroe, Letonia, Andorra y Malta, y en el 2
Gibraltar, Liechtenstein y San Marino.
Calendario y
lucha por el título
El primero de
cada uno de los grupos de la Liga A luchará por el título, mientras que el
último de cada uno descenderá a la Liga B. Y así sucesivamente. El primero de
cada grupo de la Liga B sube a la Liga A y el último desciende a la C. La
excepción está en que de la Liga C a la D tan solo descienden 2 y no 4, y
consecuentemente desde la D a la C solo ascienden 2.
En lo que
respecta al calendario de esta UEFA Nations League 2020/21, las 6 jornadas de
los grupos se disputan entre septiembre y noviembre de este 2020 y las finales
en junio de 2021.
