
El presidente
de la FIFA anunció el proyecto ‘Visión 2020-23’, con 11 puntos clave, para
intentar modernizar del deporte rey y hacerlo cada vez más inclusivo.
Uno de los
objetivos es contar con al menos 50 selecciones y clubs de todos los
continentes en el máximo nivel competitivo.
Gianni Infantino,
presidente de la FIFA desde 2016, celebró este miércoles sus primeros cuatro
años en el cargo y anunció su proyecto para “un fútbol verdaderamente global”
con once objetivos clave, tras un periodo inicial de “reformas de gobernanza
muy necesarias que han restablecido la imagen” de la organización.
El documento
“Visión 2020-23 por un fútbol verdaderamente global configura un plan para
modernizar el mundo del fútbol y hacerlo cada vez más inclusivo y marcar el
camino hacia el día en que contemos al menos con 50 selecciones y otros tantos
clubes de todos los continentes en el máximo nivel competitivo”, señaló
Infantino.
Según informó la
FIFA en un comunicado, los once objetivos básicos para ello son “modernizar el
marco regulador futbolístico, acrecentar los ingresos de manera sostenible para
seguir reinvirtiendo en fútbol, aumentar la eficiencia y eficacia de la
organización, garantizar el éxito de nuestras competiciones más emblemáticas y
globalizar nuestras competiciones”.
A ellos se suman
“incrementar la competitividad a escala global, maximizar nuestra influencia en
el desarrollo global del fútbol, acelerar el crecimiento del fútbol femenino,
aprovechar la tecnología en el fútbol; salvaguardar valores positivos en el
fútbol e influir en la sociedad gracias al poder del fútbol”.
“Cada
uno de estos objetivos descansa en cuatro pilares que van desde organizar
torneos sostenibles a generar más oportunidades para que nuestros miembros
alberguen torneos de la FIFA, pasando por crear experiencias únicas para los
aficionados y las audiencias globales, y por luchar contra el racismo y el
resto de formas que adopta la discriminación”, añadió.
Infantino recordó
que las reformas de gobierno acometidas desde su llegada han hecho que la FIFA
haya “restablecido su imagen como institución fiable que trabaja a favor del
fútbol” y “defendió que “la FIFA se encuentra en una posición muy sólida que le
permite fijar objetivos claros y específicos, para dar más resultados
concretos”.

quiere que el fútbol sea “global de verdad”
Para Infantino,
lo importante ahora es conseguir que el fútbol, “el deporte más popular del
mundo, practicado y venerado por miles de millones de personas en todos los
rincones del planeta”, sea “global de verdad”.
