El goleador
uruguayo manifestó su felicidad por haber tomado la decisión de continuar en
Francia.
Luego de varias
idas y vueltas durante el transcurso del último mercado de pases, todo indicaba
que Edinson Cavani tenía un pie y medio fuera del PSG. Con el interés en puerta
del Atlético Madrid, distintos portales europeos dieron por hecha la salida del
artillero uruguayo.
Pese a que la
gran mayoría de los caminos conducían al hecho que continuaría con su carrera
en otra institución, Edi tomó la decisión de quedarse en el cuadro parisino
para seguir luchando en busca de un mejor futuro profesional.
En diálogo con El
País, Cavani, sincerándose, habló sobre lo que vivió en el último tiempo y
confesó: "Es difícil para todos los jugadores pasar por momentos como
estos, pero es parte de nuestro trabajo, el fútbol. No hay nada que criticar.
Simplemente trabajar, trabajar, trabajar de nuevo".
El artillero,
exteriorizando su felicidad por la decisión que tomó de continuar con su
carrera profesional en el París Saint-Germain, continuó: "Me alegro de
haberme quedado, por supuesto. París me ha dado mucho. Estoy aquí para
continuar mi aventura en París, estoy feliz y orgulloso de ello".
Celebrando el
hecho de haber llegado a los 200 goles con el equipo de la Ligue 1, El Matador,
agradeciéndole a la afición del club por el apoyo brindado con el paso del
tiempo, manifestó: "Solo puedo agradecer la calidez que nos brindan todos
los días, y especialmente a mí, en momentos difíciles o de alegría".
Dejando al
desnudo la ilusión que tiene de cara al futuro, Cavani cerró: "La única
forma en que puedo agradecerles es dar el máximo, 100% en el terreno. Será así
hasta el final".
