De los seis partidos de la Serie A previstos para este domingo, solo se han jugado dos, en Génova y en Roma.
Si el sábado el Gobierno de Italia anunció casi a medianoche que el domingo no se jugarían los partidos Inter-Sampdoria, Atalanta-Sassuolo y Verona-Cagliari al haberse suspendido la actividad deportiva programada en el Véneto y la Lombardía debido a la expansión del coronavirus en el norte del país, este domingo por la mañana también se decidió aplazar el duelo entre el Torino y el Parma. Y es que también el Piamonte y Emilia Romagna se sumaron a las regiones que tomaron medidas extraordinarias para gestionar la emergencia. La epidemia ya ha causado tres víctimas mortales en el país transalpino y hay más de 100 contagiados, además de varios pueblos y ciudades totalmente aislados, con más de 50.000 personas confinadas.
De los seis partidos de la Serie A previstos para este domingo, solo se disputaron dos, el Genoa-Lazio (2-3) y el Roma-Lecce (4-0). El sábado en cambio, sí que se jugaron con normalidad los tres partidos programados, en Bolonia, Ferrara y Florencia, y también el del viernes en Brescia, contra el Nápoles, que el martes recibe al Barça en los octavos de Champions, en un duelo que de momento, no peligra.
Ahora además, se está estudiando la posibilidad de que los próximos partidos se disputen sin público. El presidente del Comité Olímpico Nacional Italiano (CONI) reconoció ayer que la cúpula directiva del fútbol italiano baraja la hipótesis de jugar los próximos partidos del campeonato italiano a puerta cerrada, aunque destacó la necesidad de actuar de acuerdo con las decisiones del Gobierno. “En este momento el mundo del deporte debe estar alineado con las decisiones de las autoridades y del Gobierno. Anoche fue convulsa, con un Consejo de Ministros que acabó muy tarde, nos hemos adecuado y la decisión de no disputar los partidos es la más correcta”, afirmó Giovanni Malagó, en declaraciones a “Sky Sport”.
