Christian Eriksen fue la estrella, el salvador y el goleador de la ida del Inter ante el Ludogorets búlgaro. El gol del danés, recién llegado a Milán, resolvió un partido igualado en la primera parte, aunque con pocas ocasiones, y dominado por los italianos en la segunda, sobre todo desde la salida de Lukaku por un inadvertido Lautaro Martínez, que sigue recobrando la forma tras su ausencia liguera por sanción.
El Inter impuso su calidad en esa segunda parte, que empezó con un taconazo de Alexis al palo. Era el comienzo de la posterior victoria interista.
En la primera apenas una ocasión de Moses y Biragui puso peligro en el área local. Luego, salió Lukaku, y activó el ataque interista. En una de ésas, una jugada coral de los italianos terminó en una llegada de Eriksen, que colocó su disparo lejos del alcance del meta visitante. Su primer gol en su sexto partido.
El danés no sólo se conformó con ese 0-1. A los dos minutos, un chut desde muy lejos llevó el balón al larguero. Eran los mejores minutos de un partido arbitrado por el español Del Cerro Grande.
Discurría un partido discreto, dentro del dominio visitante, cuando una mano inocente de Anicet Abel fue consultada por el VAR y por Del Cerro. El penalti lo transformó Lukaku, sentenciando el partido y, probablemente, la eliminatoria. Un 0-2 muy favorable para el Inter.
En el once interista formaron Diego Godín, de central izquierdo, y Borja Valero, titular en el mediocentro.
