En quince años de trayectoria deportiva, el Bombadero jamás ha vestido los colores de un equipo mexicano.
La carrera de Carlos Vela bien podría ser comparada con una montaña rusa. El Bombardero ya acumula quince años de trayectoria deportiva, pudiendo presumir haber pasado con éxito por España, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos.
El ahora delantero de LAFC es de los pocos jugadores en el planeta que jamás debuto en su liga local. Carlitos realizó toda su formación deportiva con Chivas, pero tras ganar el Mundial Sub 17 con la Selección mexicana, el Arsenal de Inglaterra lo convenció y logró llevárselo.
Los primeros pasos en la trayectoria de Vela no fueron nada sencillos. Su fama subió como la espuma, y tras hacer un magnifico campeonato en Perú, distintas potencias del planeta futbol preguntaron por sus servicios, pues mostraba un talento descomunal desde muy joven. Jorge Vergara apoyó su sueño y facilitó su salida, aunque no le dio de premio un coche como a todos sus compañeros que lograron la proeza.
Y es que el periplo por Europa del delantero de 30 años no fue cualquier cosa. En 2014 fue nombrado el tercer mejor futbolista de La Liga, únicamente por detrás de Cristiano Ronaldo y Lionel Messi. Posteriormente y cuando muchos pensaban que llegaba a la MLS a retirarse, Los Ángeles FC le ofreció las llaves de su proyecto, anotando la campaña pasada 34 goles y batiendo todos los récords de la competición.
Se conoce el estilo juguetón de Vela al momento de dar entrevistas, y en distintas oportunidades ha abierto la posibilidad de llegar a la Liga MX, aunque conociendo que su prioridad es el estilo de vida de su familia y la tranquilidad, parece sumamente complicado que pronto emigre hacia el campeonato azteca.
