El duelo de aspirantes al ‘scudetto’ se lo llevó el Lazio ante el Inter (2-1) y el gran triunfador fue la Juventus, que horas antes venció al Brescia (2-0) y recuperó el liderato de la Serie A. Los turineses tienen un punto de ventaja sobre los romanos y tres sobre los ‘nerazzurri’, que han pasado del primer al tercer lugar.
El partido del estadio Olímpico fue en líneas generales muy físico y táctico. El Lazio tuvo más el balón, pero el Inter, con un fútbol más directo, se adelantó en el marcador. Al final el equipo de Simone Inzaghi encadenó su 19ª jornada sin perder, mientras el de Antonio Conte puso fin a su racha de 16 sin conocer la derrota.
Pocas ocasiones en la primera parte
En la primera parte solo hubo dos ocasiones en el duelo que enfrentó a las dos defensas menos batidas del campeonato. En el minuto 9, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic soltó un trallazo desde fuera del área y el larguero salvó a Daniele Padelli, que sigue de titular por el lesionado Samir Handanovic.
En el minuto 20, la oportunidad fue del Inter en una contra entre Romelu Lukaku y Marcelo Brozovic, que recorrió el campo y sirvió al doblarle al belga, cuyo disparo lo atajó Thomas Strakosha.
Ashley Young adelanta al Inter con su primer gol
Justo antes del descanso el Inter abrió el marcador por medio de Ashley Young al rematar de volea el rechace de Strakosha tras un disparo de Antonio Candreva. Es el primer gol del inglés desde que en el mercado de invierno llegó al ‘calcio’.
En la segunda mitad el Lazio dio la vuelta al partido. Ciro Immobile empató en el minuto 50 al convertir un penalti que Stefan de Vrij cometió sobre él al empujarle cuando acudía a un rechace. Es el 26º gol del delantero italiano, ‘capocannoniere’ de la Serie A.
Milinkovic-Savic sentencia tras un córner
El Lazio consumó la remontada en el minuto 69 tras un córner. Brozovic, en la misma línea, sacó el remate de Adam Marusic y, tras varios rechaces, Milinkovic-Savic acertó a poner el balón en la red.
Un Lazio solidario en sus líneas impidió al Inter tener los espacios para correr que tuvo en la primera parte, de ahí que en el minuto 77 Antonio Conte diera entrada a Christian Eriksen. El danés obligó a lucirse a Strakosha y en la misma jugada a Lautaro Martínez, en su reaparición tras dos jornadas de sanción, le anularon un gol por fuera de juego (78’).
Pero, salvo esa, el Inter no tuvo prácticamente ocasiones en la segunda mitad, mientras Immobile pudo sentenciar el partido de no ser por una gran parada de Padelli. El goleador del Lazio se llevó su pulso de artilleros con Lautaro Martínez y Lukaku.
