La Academia jugó con nueve hombres un tiempo completo, aguantó con coraje y lo ganó sobre la hora con gol de Marcelo Díaz. Para la historia.
De hoy a 20 años, en la semana previa a algún clásico de Avellaneda, un hincha de Racing se sentará frente a su hija y le contará: "Un día le ganamos al Rojo después de jugar con nueve durante todo un tiempo". "¿En serio, papá? Pero íbamos ganando desde antes, ¿no?", preguntará la piba. "¡No! ¡Se lo ganamos a los 40 minutos del segundo tiempo!". Y la nena le pedirá que le muestre un video en YouTube (o como sea que se vayan a ver los videos de acá a veinte años). Y el padre, feliz de la vida, verá por vez número 100 mil el encuentro de la 19° fecha de la Superliga 2019/20, en el que la Academia derrotó 1-0 a Independiente.
Es fácil caer en los análisis emocionales y dejar de lado lo futbolístico cuando se dan este tipo de partidos. Sea como sea, la victoria del equipo de Sebastián Beccacece (la primera para el DT en el club) no puede cuestionarse. Porque en el primer tiempo el local fue muchísimo más que su rival, dominó la pelota, impuso las condiciones, acorraló al Rojo, pegó un tiro en el travesaño y mereció haberse ido en ventaja al entretiempo pero, en cambio, se fue con un jugador de menos por la (correcta) expulsión de Gabriel Arias, que luego de una jugada muy desafortunada tuvo que tocar la pelota con la mano fuera del área para evitar el gol de Cecilio Domínguez.
Como si ese golpe no hubiera sido suficiente, a los 13 segundos del complemento Racing sufrió la (equivocada) roja a Leonardo Sigali, quien golpeó a Leandro Fernández cuando luchaba por la posición para cabecear y el árbitro consideró que le había dado un codazo. Y así, de un instante a otro, sin haber hecho mérito alguno desde el juego, Independiente se convertía en el candidato absoluto a quedarse con el duelo: con 45 minutos por jugar y dos futbolistas de más, sólo restaba saber cómo haría el conjunto de Lucas Pusineri para llegar al gol.
Pero al Rojo no se le cayó una idea. Tuvo posibilidades muy claras, lógicamente: la diferencia numérica le daba ventajas y los espacios aparecían. Pero Javier García -que había ingresado por Barbona tras la expulsión de Arias- se hizo enorme para sostener el cero en su arco. Y Racing, que no dejó nunca de correr, de meter y de ocupar espacios, se animó a soñar con la heróica. Y prácticamente en la única ocasión en que la Academia llegó al campo rival con más de dos futbolistas en toda la segunda parte, Darío Cvitanich aprovechó un rebote que lo favoreció y tiró el centro atrás, Leonel Miranda dejó pasar la pelota con una inteligencia que no había mostrado en los dos encuentros anteriores y Marcelo Díaz definió con una frialdad impropia de un mediocampista central que no tenía goles en el club y había hecho un desgaste descomunal.
Después llegó el descontrol del Rojo, las rojas a Cecilio Domínguez y Lucas Romero por agresiones contra futbolistas rivales y la fiesta de la Academia. Esa que, de acá a 20 años, un padre le mostrará a su hija mientras se le dibuja una sonrisa en la cara.
