El octavo tanto del renacido exdelantero del Espanyol dio un valioso triunfo a los romanos, que supieron sufrir ante un Parma intenso.
El renacido Felipe Caicedo volvió a acaparar el protagonismo en lugar del ‘Pichichi’ Ciro Immobile y con su gol, su octavo en la Serie A, dio un valiosísimo y muy trabajado triunfo al Lazio en su visita al Parma (0-1) que le sitúa a un solo punto del líder Juventus, derrotado el sábado por el Verona (2-1). Los romanos superan momentáneamente al Inter del segundo lugar a la espera del derbi milanés que se disputa a continuación.
El Lazio, que el miércoles tropezó en casa ante el Verona (0-0) en partido pendiente, tampoco pudo hoy exhibir su potencial ofensivo como en tantas otras ocasiones a lo largo de la temporada, pero encadena ya 18 jornadas invicto antes del recibir el domingo al Inter un pulso de altura.
El Lazio domina la primera parte
El partido se disputó a un ritmo muy alto y, tras un inicio con idas y venidas, el Lazio tuvo más el balón e intentó buscar espacios tanto por las bandas como con juego interior, aunque no dispuso de muchas ocasiones ante un Parma dominado pero intenso.
Un disparo de Ciro Immobile que salió rozando el poste y un cabezazo de Caicedo que Simone Colombi blocó sin problemas fueron las únicas opciones claras antes de que el ecuatoriano marcara poco antes del descanso.
El gaditano Luis Alberto centró tras internarse por la banda derecha, Immobile luchó el balón con un defensa y quedó muerto para que Caicedo fusilara el 0-1 en el minuto 41. Es el octavo gol a sus 31 años del renacido exdelantero de Espanyol y Levante en la Serie, tercero en las tres últimas jornadas.
El Parma reacciona tras el descanso
En la reanudación el Lazio ya no dominó, el Parma (10º en la tabla) tomó la iniciativa y le hizo sufrir en determinados momentos, pero le faltó acierto en el remate. El meta Thomas Strakosha también se lució para evitar el empate en remates de Gianluca Caprari y Riccardo Gagliolo.
