El conjunto colombiano necesitó de 10 minutos para liquidar a un rival que no mostró grandes argumentos en Medellín.
Todo un espectáculo de buen fútbol fue el que pudieron disfrutar los cerca de 3500 espectadores que coparon las tribunas del Atanasio Girardot para presenciar el debut de Atlético Nacional en la Copa Sudamericana ante Huracán de Argentina.
Tras un arranque lento y friccionado en la mitad de la cancha, los dirigidos por Juan Carlos Osorio se fueron poniendo cómodos en el terreno de juego y de la mano de un Rifle Andrade prodigioso comenzaron con una sinfonía que duraría 10 minutos y al cabo de la cual, la hinchada Verdolaga estaría levantada de sus asiento aplaudiendo los tres goles que liquidaban al rival, antes de terminarse la primera mitad.
La estrategia planteada por el DT de los locales de darle descanso a un buen número de jugadores de la base del equipo rindió frutos y contrastó con las críticas recibidas tras la derrota del fin de semana por Liga, El 4-3-3 inicial sirvió para medir las intenciones del rival y poco a poco fue cambiando a un 3-5-2, en el que no había creadores fijos, pues Jarlan Barrera y Daniel Muñoz se proyectaban constantemente al ataque, dándole a Nacional un volumen ofensivo que derrumbó los argumentos del rival en el fondo.
Las anotaciones de Muñoz, Duque y Hernández, bastaron para que el partido bajara sus pulsaciones y para que Nacional se dedicara a tener la pelota, esperando el error de Huracán que le permitiera ampliar el marcador, mientras que Osorio festejaba desde el banco y aplaudía a la par con el estadio a cada uno de los jugadores que abandonaba el terreno de juego.
Para la segunda mitad ya con el trabajo hecho, Atlético Nacional continuó con sus arremetidas contra el arco de un Antony Silva que poco o nada pudo hacer para evitar la goleada, Huracán por su parte se dedicó a evitar que la diferencia de gol fuera más abultada, guardando la esperanza de mejorar lo hecho hasta aquí en el partido de regreso, aunque con tres de diferencia y un Nacional inspirado, se tratará de buscar la épica con más ganas que fútbol.
