El conjunto colombiano necesitó de 10 minutos para liquidar a un rival que no mostró grandes argumentos en Medellín.

Las anotaciones de Muñoz, Duque y Hernández, bastaron para que el partido bajara sus pulsaciones y para que Nacional se dedicara a tener la pelota, esperando el error de Huracán que le permitiera ampliar el marcador, mientras que Osorio festejaba desde el banco y aplaudía a la par con el estadio a cada uno de los jugadores que abandonaba el terreno de juego.
Para la segunda mitad ya con el trabajo hecho, Atlético Nacional continuó con sus arremetidas contra el arco de un Antony Silva que poco o nada pudo hacer para evitar la goleada, Huracán por su parte se dedicó a evitar que la diferencia de gol fuera más abultada, guardando la esperanza de mejorar lo hecho hasta aquí en el partido de regreso, aunque con tres de diferencia y un Nacional inspirado, se tratará de buscar la épica con más ganas que fútbol.
