Esta semana se disputa otro derbi de Manchester en el Etihad, en el que el City recibe al United en el partido de vuelta de su encuentro de semifinales de la Copa de la Liga. El City llega al partido con una ventaja de 3-1 tras desmantelar el United en Old Trafford en el partido de ida. El resultado no le hace justicia a su dominio. Con tres goles de ventaja en el descanso, el United parecía estar en peligro de ser verdaderamente humillado. Apenas famoso por su ambiente, Old Trafford se quedó mortalmente en silencio mientras los aficionados contemplaban lo feo que podía llegar a ser el juego. Con 15 disparos a la portería, el City dejó pasar varias oportunidades y dejó de pisar el acelerador después del descanso. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer estará agradecido de que el City no haya marcado un gol de cricket, pero seguramente no pensará que un regreso es plausible. El United ganó en el Etihad en diciembre pasado, con Marcus Rashford como figura clave de la victoria. Está fuera de combate, al igual que varios jugadores importantes del United.

Con una plantilla que avergüenza a sus vecinos, sólo podemos ver que el City vuelve a ganar por un cómodo margen. Esperamos que el equipo local gane este partido por dos goles de ventaja.
