El defensa
lateral o central envió un mensaje a la afición del Verde tras confirmarse su
partida a Libertad de Paraguay.
El mismo día en
que la hinchada de Nacional despedía a su 'Capitán Libertador', recibió una
noticia triste al confirmarse la salida de otro referente y último integrante
del equipo campeón de la Copa Libertadores 2016.
Daniel Bocanegra
rescindió el contrato que aún tenía por seis meses con los antioqueños para
marcharse libre a Libertad de Paraguay, según informó el club este sábado en la
mañana. Con la partida del '2', se cerró el ciclo más exitoso y ganador en la
historia del 'Rey de Copas'.
El tolimense, que
viajó este mismo sábado a Asunción, se despidió del club y aficionados en un
video publicado en las redes sociales: "Tristeza de dejar la institución,
pero bueno, es una decisión que yo pienso que en algún momento tenía que pasar.
Me duele irme así, pero razones personales me tocan, pero bueno, así es el
fútbol", dijo 'Boca'.
Expresó sentirse
tranquilo al hacer su balance personal luego de seis años: "En lo
personal, tranquilo por haber ganado todo con Atlético Nacional. Es algo muy
lindo haber compartido con tantos compañeros. Pienso que se hizo muy buenos
proyectos, ayudamos a construir buenos jugadores. Desearle lo mejor a los que
quedan, aquí hay un gran plantel, sé que van a sacar estos retos que tienen
adelante".
Por supuesto, su
recuerdo más importante en el paso por Medellín fue la Libertadores:
"Imborrable la Libertadores. La Libertadores no tiene precio. Es algo
totalmente fuera de serie que todo jugador quiere ganar. Es una imagen que
todavía tengo intacta. Es una alegría impresionante y el mejor de mis
títulos".
De lo que será la
nueva aventura paraguaya, Bocanegra aseguró que "la idea es hacer las
cosas bien como siempre he venido haciéndolo durante toda mi carrera, siempre
con profesionalismo, siempre enfocado en lo que quiero". "Va a ser
una linda experiencia, un nuevo reto que sé que lo voy a sacar adelante. Estoy
preparado para esto y la idea es cada vez superarse a uno mismo" recalcó.
Y el mensaje
final de despedida no pudo ser más nostálgico y cargado de emotividad:
"Nostalgia. La verdad, totalmente agradecido con la institución, con la
hinchada. La hinchada es la más grande del país, un de las más grandes en
Sudamérica Lo que viví acá, nunca lo había vivido. Simplemente palabras de
agradecimiento por todo ese apoyo que me brindaron durante todo este tiempo que
estuve acá. Los llevo en el corazón, es mucha nostalgia, muchos recuerdos
encontrados".
Entre lágrimas,
Bocanegra le puso fin a su ciclo en Nacional, equipo por el que dio todo:
"Muchos amigos, muchos compañeros, grandes amigos que los voy a recordar.
Saben que cuentan conmigo, siempre van a tener ese amigo que recochaba, que
molestaba. Y a la hinchada, que di todo por estos colores, que nunca me ahorré
nada y los llevaré siempre en el corazón".
