central puso fin a siete años de carrera en el Verdolaga y recibió un gran
homenaje.
A la altura de
los 13 títulos que consiguió con la camiseta verde fue despedido Alexis
Henríquez por parte de Atlético Nacional y su hinchada.
El Atanasio
Girardot, que tantas vueltas lo vio dar, fue el escenario perfecto para
rendirle tributo al jugador más ganador de la historia Verdolaga. Más de 10 mil
hinchas colmaron la tribuna Sur y parte de Oriental para agradecerle al número
'12' por su liderazgo, entrega y dedicación.
Una calle de
honor hecha por todos los jugadores del plantel actual recibió a Henríquez y su
familia en el recorrido hasta la cabecera sur del estadio donde se ubicó la
tarima. Extintores y un tifo decoraron la bienvenida.
Las 13 copas y
sus camisetas fueron la antesala a la tarima donde las diferentes barras
asociadas le entregaron palabras y regalos como cuadros, un sombrero aguadeño
con poncho y la réplica de la Copa Libertadores que ahora estará para siempre
en su casa.

También hubo
palabras de sus ex-compañeros de defensa: Davison Sánchez, Óscar Murillo,
Felipe Aguilar, Francisco Nájera, Stefan Medina, Carlos Cuesta y Daniel
Bocanegra; así como del equipo como Edwin Cardona y Macnelly Torres. Todos
coincidieron en agradecerle por las enseñanzas que les permitieron crecer en
sus carreras y consolidarse.
Por su parte, el
presidente de Atlético Nacional confirmó que el número 12, que lo identificó
gran parte del tiempo que estuvo en Medellín, será retirado. Igualmente el
técnico Juan Carlos Osorio, su mentor en la dirección técnica, exaltó todas las
cualidades como jugador y persona del nacido en Santa Marta.
El cierre lo
marcó el propio Henríquez haciendo un recuento por su carrera en el Verde, su
llegada en 2012 y cómo superó las adversidades que tuvo, no solo él, sino el
equipo comandado por Osorio, para convertirse en el equipo más veces campeón de
Colombia. "Soy del Verde, soy feliz" fueron las palabras con las que
terminó su discurso para la algarabía de la tribuna.
