sufridos por Rüdiger o Son reflejan que el racismo se ha cebado con dureza y de
forma reiterada en estadios ingleses.
En pleno debate
sobre el Brexit, acentuado por la incertidumbre que provoca, Inglaterra cierra
esta década con episodios de racismo que se han extendido de la sociedad al
fútbol. Rüdiger y Son se vieron expuestos a este tipo de ofensas en White Hart
Lane como reflejo de que es un problema que se ha cebado con especial dureza y
de forma reiterada en varios estadios de la Premier: “Se tiene que combatir
desde las escuelas y desde las familias con educación”, apuntó Guardiola.
Estos dos últimos
casos provocaron la reacción de Gary Neville en Sky Sports: “Nuestros políticos
están normalizando los ataques racistas. Hace poco se vivieron unas elecciones
generales en las que los dos partidos principales, con sus dos líderes a la cabeza,
han sido acusados de fomentar el racismo aceptando ciertas conductas. Si eso se
permite en los principales cargos, imaginad qué ocurre en otros lugares”,
aseguró el que fuera lateral derecho del Manchester United.
Incidentes como
los que sufrieron Rüdiger, Son o anteriormente Sterling o Rose han llevado a
que la federación inglesa confirme tras un estudio que se ha multiplicado el
racismo en un 46% en las primeras cuatro categorías del país. La asociación
Kick it Out, a su vez, ha publicado que “de un total de 3.022 compromisos
profesionales que se disputaron en el curso 2018/19 se denunciaron hasta 152
casos de racismo. Un 0,5%”. El daño, sin embargo, parece mucho mayor.
Rüdiger, tras
ganar el derbi, apuntó que “no quiero callarme. Si lo haces, en apenas dos días
se olvida todo. No quiero culpar al Tottenham pero se tiene que actuar contra
los culpables”. Apuntó el cuadro de Mourinho que ha iniciado una investigación
para encontrar a los responsables pero todavía no ha encontrado evidencias. La
policía, en cambio, arrestó a un aficionado del Chelsea al comprobar que había
utilizado un vocabulario ofensivo contra el surcoreano Son.
Homofobia en
el Etihad
El sábado un
hincha del City fue expulsado del Etihad por haber increpado a otro del
Leicester por vestir con una camiseta de su equipo de color rosa: “Le llamó
vagabundo, le hizo gestos obscenos y homófobos. Se lo comunicamos a la gente de
seguridad del estadio”, confirmaron dos testigos a la BBC. El responsable de
esa ofensa intentó cambiar su ubicación pero finalmente fue detenido y
acompañado a la salida del recinto. El City, después, condenó cualquier
discriminación.
