
El campeón de
la Copa Libertadores completó su último entrenamiento en Brasil antes de viajar
a Catar.
El Flamengo, que
en noviembre se consagró campeón de la Copa Libertadores y del Campeonato
Brasileño, completó este viernes en Río de Janeiro su último entrenamiento
antes de viajar a Catar, donde aspira conquistar por segunda vez el Mundial de
Clubes de la FIFA.
La última
práctica del equipo carioca en Brasil transcurrió a puerta cerrada, y aunque la
prensa y los aficionados no pudieron estar presentes en el campo, acompañaron
al equipo desde las afueras del Ninho de Urubú, el centro de entrenamiento.
Hinchas vestidos
con el uniforme rojinegro ondeaban banderas y levantaban mensajes de ánimo para
sus ídolos a la entrada del centro de entrenamiento, mientras otro grupo de
aficionados, acompañados del sonido de tambores, entonaba canciones alusivas al
equipo.
Tras algunos
incidentes ocurridos el pasado 20 de noviembre, cuando el Flamengo viajó a Lima
para disputar la final de la Copa Libertadores, las autoridades definieron una
operación especial para evitar aglomeraciones y disturbios en las calles por
las que se desplazará el autobús que transportará al equipo carioca desde el
centro de entrenamiento hacia el aeropuerto.
El
"Mengao", que este año conquistó con cuatro jornadas de anticipación
el título de la Liga en Brasil, con 16 puntos de ventaja sobre su inmediato
perseguidor y que volvió a coronarse campeón de la Copa Libertadores tras 38
años, partirá este viernes hacia Doha, capital de Catar, donde sueña con
conseguir nuevamente el título de mejor club del mundo.
El 13 de
diciembre de 1981 el Flamengo se coronó campeón en Tokio al vencer por 3-0 al
Liverpool inglés en la final del Mundial de Clubes, en un partido que pudiera
repetirse este año.
"Hace 38
anos pintamos el Mundo de rojo y negro. Con dos goles de Nunes y uno de Adilio,
el 3 a 0 al Liverpool quedó marcado en la história!", recordó el Flamengo
a través de su cuenta en Twitter.
Este año, tanto
el Flamengo, vencedor de la Copa Libertadores, como el Liverpool, ganador de la
Liga de Campeones, vuelven a ser favoritos del torneo mundial.
En Catar, el equipo
más popular de Brasil tendrá otros dos entrenamientos el sábado y el domingo,
antes de debutar el martes 17 en una de las semifinales del torneo, que este
año se juega entre el 11 y el 21 de diciembre.
