Jurgen Klopp ha admitido un cambio en su política y opinión sobre los grandes traspasos en el fútbol. Ahora, el técnico del Liverpool admite que "hará todo lo que sea necesario para que Liverpool tenga éxito".
En el verano de 2016, el actual entrenador de los reds hizo unas declaraciones muy sonadas lamentando el precio que llegaban a pagar sus rivales en la Premier. En ese momento, el Manchester United estaba a punto de fichar a Pogba por 100 millones de euros, pero el alemán afirmaba que a él le gustaba "hacer las cosas de otra manera".
En estos dos años el Liverpool ha invertido grandes cantidades en traspasos. Sin ir más lejos, este verano a cerrado a Alisson Becker (75 millones), Naby Keita (60 millones), Fabinho (50 millones) y Shaqiri. Además, el pasado mercado de invierno firmaron a Virgil van Dijk por 85 millones de euros. Klopp tiene en su plantilla al defensa y al portero más caro de la historia.
Hasta su llegada a Liverpool, el técnico alemán destacó en el Dortmund por su capacidad para formar grandes estrellas como Reus, Lewandowski o Gözte. "No podría haber imaginado que el mundo iba a cambiar como lo ha hecho, hace dos años 100 millones era una locura", ha reconocido Klopp en un rueda de prensa.

Tras desembolsar el Liverpool 85 millones por el central del Southampton, el técnico portugués recordó a Klopp sus palabras: "Creo que el único que puede hablar de ello es Klopp y, si yo fuera uno de vosotros (refiriéndose a los periodistas), le preguntaría sobre sus comentarios de hace un año".
"Virgil van Dijk es el defensa más caro de la historia del fútbol. ¿Es mejor que Maldini, Bergomi o Ferdinand? No puedes decirlo. Es solo la forma en la que esté el mercado y tú pagas o no", sentenció el portugués.
