Tras una
primera parte nefasta, los ‘gunners’ remontaron al West Ham.
No sale el sol en
el Arsenal y parece estar lejos de hacerlo. Ni siquiera en la victoria frente
al West Ham se pudo sacar cosas positivas de los ‘gunners’, nefastos en el
primer tiempo y rescatados por Pépé en dos fogonazos en solo tres minutos.
Para el olvido
los primeros 45’ del conjunto de Ljungberg. Ya empezó mal incluso el
calentamiento, en el que se lesionó Héctor Bellerín. Pues el inicio no sería
mejor. Si el Arsenal pasó del medio campo fue un absoluto milagro.
Exageradamente arriesgado en la salida de balón, dio vida a un Pellegrini que
tiene la soga puesta en la cabeza. Pérdidas y más pérdidas dejaron entrever la
peor versión de jugadores como Torreira y Özil, inoperantes y ahogados.
Tampoco es que se
salvara el West Ham. Bien en le presión, mal tras la recuperación. Fornals, con
más ganas que juego, fue el primero en probar a Leno justo antes de que Tierney
se lesionara también del hombro. El tanto de los ‘hammers’ llegó de un centro,
rematado con el hombro por Ogbonna y desviado lo justo por Maitland-Niles
(38’). Torreira, entre tanto, casi asistió para el segundo con un taconazo
innecesario y temerario de Felipe Anderson.
El segundo tiempo
iba por los mismos derroteros. Snodgrass casi rozó la red, pero en una jugada
aislada Martinelli, apuesta de Ljungberg, puso el empate (60’), que dejó KO al
West Ham. Seis minutos después, Pépé firmaba una obra de arte, con un disparo
de rosca al palo largo (66’). El costamarfileño, acto seguido, ponía el balón
para Aubameyang, que sentenció de forma acrobática (69’).
En un abrir y
cerrar de ojos, el Arsenal terminó con el dominio del West Ham. Lo positivo, la
remontada, lo negativo, no parece haber luz al final del túnel.
