brasileño consiguió en un semestre lo que el club anhelaba y no había logrado
materializar.
El 13 de junio de
este año, la afición recibía la noticia del fin del ciclo de Jerson González al
frente del América de Cali, los resultados no acompañaban al equipo, que desde
su regreso a la primera categoría lograba meterse en fases definitivas, pero no
conseguía tener los argumentos para ganar un nuevo título.

Deportivo Saprissa en Costa Rica, el Torneo de Copa en Costa Rica con Belén UCR

Sin demora,
Guimarães comenzó a trabajar, en medio de críticas y conflictos administrativos
que complicaban su gestión, siempre supo ponerle el pecho a los malos
