Hay mucha
polémica en el derbi de Mánchester, encuentro en el que el VAR castiga al
Manchester City de Pep Guardiola frente al Manchester United.
En la primera
parte, dos jugadas marcaron el choque: primero, cuando Marcus Rashford se
benefició con el uso de la tecnología, ya que los Red Devils tuvieron la
oportunidad de abrir el marcador desde el punto del penalti en el Etihad
Stadium.
El internacional
por Inglaterra cayó en el área cuando le marcaba Bernardo Silva y el árbitro, a
instancias del VAR, determinó la pena máxima luego de que la jugada siguiera
durante varios segundos.
Unos minutos más
tarde, el City se sintió perjudicado con otra decisión del VAR a favor de los
visitantes. Cuando se estaba por terminar la etapa inicial, Fred se deslizó en el área para bloquear un
centro desde la derecha, y la pelota pegó en su mano derecha.
Las quejas de los
Citizens, sin embargo, no fueron escuchadas por el colegiado inglés, por lo que

penalti. Sin duda, el balón golpea su brazo, pero está en el suelo, y su brazo
está cerca de su cuerpo. Le golpea, nada más. Y el árbitro, con toda razón, no
da penalti, algo que respalda el VAR".
La leyenda del
United Ryan Giggs agregó: "Sí. Definitivamente no hay penalti".
Por su parte, el
seleccionador de Bélgica, el español Roberto Martínez, aseguró: “Puedo ver en
ambos sentidos. Conozco el reglamento y esto va un poco de interpretación.
¿Fred está usando el brazo porque se está cayendo al suelo? Entonces es una
mano casual. Pero la interpretación podría ser que está despegado de su cuerpo,
por lo que es una de esas acciones en las que debes aceptar lo que dice el
árbitro".
