La opción del Real Madrid de recuperar a James Rodríguez se desvanece. El nuevo técnico del Bayern, Niko Kovac, habló este jueves en rueda de prensa acerca la posible vuelta del colombiano al club blanco, y aseguró que “se va a quedar aquí” aunque dejó en el aire que su equipo vaya a ejecutar la opción de compra el próximo verano. “Tenemos un contrato a préstamo que es válido. Solo terminará si nosotros tomamos esa opción”, dijo.
Hace un año, el Madrid cedió al colombiano al Bayern por dos temporadas, con la posibilidad para los germanos de adquirirlo en propiedad en 2019. En estos momentos, la prioridad de los germanos no es otra que retener al internacional cafetero. Prueba de ello es que James apareció este jueves en las redes sociales del Bayern presentando una de las camisetas reservas que lucirá su equipo para el curso 2018-19 y que es de color verde menta.
En las últimas semanas, no solo se ha especulado con la intención del Madrid de repescar a James, sino también con que los deseos del jugador serían los de retornar a la entidad blanca. El padre del futbolista, Juan Carlos Restrepo confesó en ‘El Larguero’, de la SER, que su hijo y Lopetegui mantuvieron una conversación semanas atrás, en pleno Mundial, en el que el técnico sondeó su posible vuelta al Real. Restrepo apuntó que “James está abocado a cumplir su contrato, aunque todos saben que el Madrid está en su corazón y que el estilo de Lopetegui le beneficia”.
